Node color explanation

Gene (and protein) and keyword network nodes

    Bright red =
    query genes;
    Darker red =
    neighbors of query genes;
    Black =
    neighbors of neighbors;
    White oval =
    Shortest Path "connecting genes";
    Light pink hexagon =
    chemical term;
    White rectangle =
    GO component;
    Yellow rectangle =
    GO function;
    Green rectangle =
    GO process;
    Blue rectangle =
    MeSH disease;

Node coloring indicates the relationship between literature (and sequence) neighbors as well as keyword annotation type. Gene (or protein) identifiers submitted in a search are colored bright red and neighbors in darker colors. White nodes show "indirect" literature connections when using the shortest path option. Chemical, Gene Ontology and MeSH keyword nodes each have unique colors or shape. To learn more read our User Guide, visit www.pubgene.com or e-mail our support staff at mail@pubgene.com.
